September 29, 1987 Karen Ahles submits Mid Minnesota Telecommunications Consortium Phase I request for proposal. Institutions involved are the technical colleges of Brainerd, Pine City, St.Cloud and Willmar. Donald Hamerlinck SCTC Director.
November 15, 1987 Funding is secured. Search for engineering consultant is initiated.
December 1987 Hire engineering counsultant. Research starts on classroom and transmission equipment.
January-Feburary, 1988 Prepare, submit and approve engineering design. Meeting begin with ECMECC, MSET, SCSU to explore programming options. Bob Hannu and Ed Lethert begin working on specs for classroom and transmission equipment for ITV classrooms.
March-April, 1988 Bidding process for the system is initiated. Select program to pilot.
May, 1988 Award bids and contract for system construction. Order equipment for classrooms and headend. Develop pilot program.
June 27, 1988 Karen Ahles submits Mid Minnesota Telecommunications Consortium Phase II request for proposal.
June-August, 1988 Construct system.
July 30, 1988 Secure funding. Present consultant retained to write specs on adding Alexandria, Anoka and increasing capacity to Pine City.
August, 1988 Hire Project Director.
September, 1988 Phase I System operational. Pilot programs begin. 
September, 1988 Initiate bidding process for phase II.
October, 1988 Prepare orders for equipment.
October-January, 1989 Construct Phase II system componates.
March, 1989 Phase II system operational.
Feburary 14, 1990 Karen Ahles submits Mid Minnesota Telecommunications Consortium Phase III request for proposal. St.Paul will be added to the MidTec network.
January, 1998 Paperwork on the 'new' network starts.
